16/11/11 In this life drawing class we spent a lot of time studying space and the relative sizes of different people and objects in the same space. We had the model pose in 4 different places in the same space, getting closer with each pose.Time of drawing was about 8 minutes for each pose. I had trouble drawing the fourth pose (in the light red pencil) as it was too close and was also overlapping with the third pose. Nonetheless, it was a very interesting exercise. A curious thing to note was that even as the model got closer, the heads in each pose remained at more or less the same level. It probably has to do with the eye level/horizon line in perspective.
